Emerald Jungle Silk Grand Ribbon

Emerald Jungle is an invitation to let your wild side out. Manuela Jarry drew it by hand as a tribute to untamed nature and to the animals she loves, with tropical leaves that seem to grow right off the silk. Teals, pinks and lush greens tangle together like a jungle after the rain: vibrant, a little mysterious, full of life.

Tie it around a ponytail for a Saturday at the market, knot it loosely at the collar of a crisp white shirt, or let the ends float from the handle of your tote. It brings a burst of colour to black, navy, denim or cream.

The Grand Ribbon was born for anyone who loves silk but finds folding a carré a little daunting. It’s one long, generous band of silk twill: wrap it, knot it, tie a bow, and you’re done.

Designed in Quebec by Canadian artist Manuela Jarry.

Highlights

  • The easiest way to wear silk: no folding, just tie and go
  • Fully reversible, so the inside of a knot looks as good as the outside
  • Long enough for a generous bow, a belt or a double wrap around a ponytail
  • An original hand-drawn design you won’t see on anyone else
  • Arrives in a gift box, ready to give (or to keep)

Care +

Silk likes a gentle touch, like most of us. Dry cleaning is preferable, but you can hand wash it in cool water with a mild detergent, following our Product Care guide. To smooth out folds from the box, use a steamer, or a cool iron on the silk setting with a cotton cloth between the iron and the silk.

How to wear +

At 72 inches long, the Grand Ribbon goes almost anywhere you can tie a knot. A few ideas to start:

In your hair: tie it around a ponytail or bun and let the long ends trail, or wrap it as a headband and knot it at the nape.

At the neck: tie a soft bow at the collar for a lavallière look, or loop it once and let both ends hang long.

As a belt: thread it through the loops of your jeans, or wrap it around the waist of a dress and tie it at the side.

On your bag: knot it on the handle with the ends floating free, or wrap the whole handle for a polished finish.

On your wrist: wind it a few times and finish with a small bow.
