Roots silk scarf 90
Open hands and watchful eyes, drawn in sharp black and white. Roots is a little witchy, a little mysterious, and full of old symbols that feel both protective and playful. Like every Dora Nola piece, it starts as a hand-drawn design by Manuela Jarry.
Scattered throughout, little ladybugs bring the colour: pink, green, orange and more. Manuela loves them for their round shape and their spots, and slips them into her designs as a nod to nature and to the small things that need our care. Up close, they’re a playful surprise. From a distance, Roots reads like an ink drawing with sparks of colour.
The black and white base makes it easy to wear with almost anything, while the ladybugs pick up the colours in your outfit. With all black, they pop; with a
bright knit, they echo it. It suits every skin tone and every season.
Designed by Quebec artist Manuela Jarry.

Care
+
Dry cleaning is best for silk, but you can also hand wash it gently in cold water with a mild silk detergent, following the instructions on our Product Care page. Lay flat to dry, away from direct sunlight. To remove folds from shipping, iron on a low silk setting with a cloth between the iron and the scarf, or use a steamer.
How to wear
+
- Neck: fold into a triangle and knot loosely at the front, or roll it into a long band for a classic knot.
- Hair: tie it as a headscarf, or wrap it into a turban for a bolder look.
- Bag: knot it around the handle and let the print fall.
- As a top: a 90 cm square is large enough to tie as a one-shoulder top. Our Journal walks you through it step by step: How to style a scarf into a one-shoulder top
