Midnight Garden Silk Grand Ribbon
Quantity
Manuela has always loved irises, and they happen to be Quebec’s floral emblem too. With Midnight Garden, she wanted a design that felt rich and a little mysterious, so blush pink irises open against deep plum and midnight purple, with olive leaves curling between the blooms.
The irises nod to Van Gogh, whose paintings of them Manuela returns to again and again. Then came the cats: one black and one white, sitting quietly among the flowers, keeping watch the way cats do. They’re for every animal lover out there, Manuela included.
If folding a silk square has ever felt like origami, the Grand Ribbon was made with you in mind. There’s nothing to fold and no technique to learn: the shape is ready to wear straight from the box. Wrap it, knot it or tie a bow, and you’re done. It’s long enough to go twice around the neck or cinch a coat, and wide enough for a generous bow that holds its shape.
Both sides are printed, each with its own mood: one deep and dark, the other lighter and finished with a green line. Turn it over whenever you feel like a change.
The palette is jewel-toned, an easy companion for black, charcoal, navy or cream, and a welcome bit of colour against a winter coat.
An original hand-drawn design by Canadian artist Manuela Jarry, conceived in her Quebec studio.
